Distillery Tours 

Tours are available to the general public daily from 10am to 4pm. Commencing at the Nant Mill you will be escorted through the old convict built water mill and still house. Here you will learn how we produce our malt whisky in the time honoured way and see first hand a fully operational whisky distillery. Finishing back at the Atrium you will be able to enjoy a Nant Double Malt in the lounge and whisky bar. Tours cost $19.50 per person. Please call ahead to let us know that you are coming.

The Nant Whisky Master Class

This unique and intriguing two hour whisky experience will take you through the full production process for the making of the Nant Single Malt while you learn about the early pioneers who settled The Nant. Commencing in our Atrium Lounge you will hear about the history of the Nant and the how the distillery was developed.

Enjoy a tour  through the old convict built water mill.  Here you will see how the early pioneers at Nant ground flour using the old water mill that was built in 1823 and how today it is still used to grist barley. As you walk through the mill into our still house you will be able able to see our copper pot stills and taste our new make straight off the still.

Your tour will finish at the Atrium lounge and whisky bar for a whisky tasting in our private tasting room. Four whiskies have been selected for you to taste and matched with some of our delicious local produce.  A must for the whisky enthusiast!

The Nant Tasting Experience costs $75 per person. Bookings are required 24 hours in advance.

THE NANT ATRIUM LOUNGE AND WHISKY BAR

Designed by award winning Tasmanian architects Morris Nunn and Associates, a glass Atrium has been built to incorporate the whisky bar and lounge facilities. Single malt Whiskies sourced from around the world are available for the whisky enthusiast to compare, contrast and appreciate the full complexity of the world's finest single malts. High ceilings and glass surrounding walls offer sweeping views of the Estate and distant mountains. The atrium is also available for special functions and weddings.

The convict-built sandstone Miller's Cottage circa. 1857 is part of the Nant Distillery complex and has been converted into a private dining room with seating for 22 guests in a warm and intimate atmosphere with an open fire. The cottage is availble for that intimate lunch or  dinner and  private meetings.
