Owning your own barrel of single malt whisky is perhaps the ultimate whisky experience.

For a limited time the Nant Estate is offering the general public the opportunity to purchase their own private 100 litre barrel of single malt whisky which will be stored on the estate in government registered bond stores. On maturation owners will be able to sell back the whisky to the distillery or retain any portion they may like to keep for their personal enjoyment. The distillery offers a personalised bottling and labeling service for those wishing to bottle their whisky. Please note that excise is payable on any bottles retained by the purchaser.

Design or own style of whisky by selecting either american oak barrels that have previously held bourbon or french oak barrels that have previously held port or sherry and for a limited time when you buy a cask of whisky you will automatically become a Foundation Member of the Nant Distillery.

Each 100 litre barrel holds the equivalent of approximately 270 x 500 ml bottles of malt whisky at approximately 43% volume of alcohol and costs $5000 + gst.

Barrel Identification                 

Each barrel receives a unique identification number. You will receive a certificate of ownership to indicate your barrel number and will be able to inspect your barrel by making an appointment with the distillery. Every buyer will hold clear title to their individual barrel of whisky.  

THE RETURN

If you decide to sell your whisky back to us you will receive from
Nant Estate Pty Ltd the agreed return on your purchase as set out in our order form. Please refer to the Order Form

INCLUSIONS

The price for each barrel of whisky includes the spirit, the barrel, warehousing, insurance, management, transport and quality testing.

MATURATION

The whisky will be matured in 100-litre barrels and stored on the Nant Estate for between 4 and 5 years. The release date for each barrel will be determined at the discretion of the Nant Distillery to maximise quality and character. As part of the quality control Nant Distillery will engage respected whisky analysts to carry out stringent tests on each barrel. Over time, as the whisky matures in the barrel, it will improve in both character and quality and become more valuable as an investment.
